Wat Pho Chai Semaram is an ancient temple, believed to be the temple of Fa Daet Song Yang (an ancient city in the Khmer period, now only the remains of clay bricks), and was brought to storage in many places. Some of them are kept at Wat Pho Chai Semaram. Some are in the original locations as they were found, and some of them are kept and displayed at the Khon Kaen National Museum. Wat Pho Chai Semaram or Wat Ban Kom is located in Ban Sema, opposite the entrance to Fa Daet Song Yang town, Nong Pan Sub-district, Kamalasai District, Kalasin Province. It is about 7 kilometers west from Kamalasai District. Wat Pho Chai Semaram It is an old temple where villagers have gathered a large number of unearthed stone sema leaves. There is a large stone sema leaf that may be considered unique to Isaan because it is rarely found in other regions at all. The sema leaves found in Fa Daet Song Yang town are outstanding. They are popularly carved in pictures telling stories about the Buddha's history and Jataka. It has the most beautiful and complete replica of the main parapet, engraved a picture of the Buddha's life when the Lord Buddha returned from Kapilavastu with King Suddhodana, Rahul and Mrs. Yasothara Phimpha, attending to pay homage to the utmost by spreading his hair and wiping the feet of the Lord Buddha. It is called "Pimpa Pilap", which is actually kept at the Khon Kaen National Museum. Interesting things inside the temple are the stone sema leaves in the Dvaravati period which are embroidered along the wall and some are collected in the temple. The sema leaves are etched into various images, and most of them are carved into images about Buddhism.
